LuinaBio History

LuinaBio services have provided an important purpose to the Australian biotechnology industry for over 20 years. Previously known as PharmaSynth, LuinaBio operations were a division within Progen Pharmaceuticals Ltd since the inception of Progen operations in 1990. The CMO division provided services to many local and international clients building expertise and experience. In 2008 PharmaSynth Luina Bio Pty Ltd was established, separating from Progen Pharmaceuticals to enable standalone operations and visibility to the biotechnology market.

In 2016, PharmaSynth Pty Ltd Luina Bio was bought by Luina Group Pty Ltd in a management/investor buyout and the company was renamed as LuinaBio Pty Ltd. Today Luina Bio Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s most experienced biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing organisations offering trusted client focused services to both a domestic and international client base.
